A Winter Wonderland in the Blue Ridge Mountains

>> Saturday, February 6, 2010

We are often asked by guests about how much snow we get here at the Mountain Rose Inn. Being that the Inn is located in the Blue Ridge Mountains, one would expect to see several snowfalls a year. However, until this winter, we've always answered, "very little" with sad faces. Well, this winter has certainly changed that answer! In Dec, we had a foot of snow the weekend before Christmas. It was beautiful! Last Fri, we received another 6 inches of snow. As I type, more snow is falling to add to the foot that came yesterday. It's been a remarkable winter so far and with the groundhog's prediction of 6 more weeks of winter, it could prove to be an incredible one. So enjoy the pictures. I'm going to play in the snow!!

Happy days of winter to you!

We had so much fun being snowed in this past Friday! Great way to spend our 16th anniversary! Dora Jane, you and Mike just put the cherry on our perfect day! Thanks again so much! :)
